MPI (Memory-Power-Ignition) technology is an integral function of the EasyStart System.
A capacitor in the ignition coil accumulates and stores a slight charge from revolutions of the flywheel during start up, or from previous engine operation.
During subsequent starting cycle, this “stored” power is released to provide a strong spark at lower flywheel revolutions for the EasyStart process.
These features combined with a low-spark ignition coil enusure the Easy Start system provides:
- less operator resistance
- surer, more dependable starting
- smoother ignitions
- lower mechanical wear to starter assembly
